A little internet history

A whole world of Flash games.

1996
FutureSplash brought animation to the web and became Macromedia Flash. Games, cartoons and interactive websites followed.
2020–2021
Adobe ended Flash Player support on 31 December 2020 and blocked playback in its player from 12 January 2021.
Today
We use Ruffle to help preserve these original Flash games in modern browsers, without the old Flash plug-in. Compatibility varies by game.

Our part in that early web

Our Java games began on Smilie.com in the 1990s, before Matica followed. A surviving Smilie archive from 1 June 1997 refers to Mirkin’s Darts; Matica appears in the archive from 11 November 1998.

These games are part of that first wave of web play. We’re keeping them accessible, along with their original pages and history.

Unfortunately we have (we believe wrongly) recieved threats from 'Formula One World Championship Limited' 'FOWC' to take down this free fun game. We are just a regular family and don't have any resources to fight our corner so we've replaced the game with a Karting game for now. We'd like to thank everyone for their support with this game.

We have been careful this replacement can in no way be thought of as anything to do with 'Formula One World Championship Limited' the track shapes are in no way similar to any Formula 1 track and neither are the cars or colours. There is no mention of anything to do with FOWC anywhere in the game.
